Below you'll find the policies and procedures that guide Blackwood Beauty's business operations and serve as a reference for clients to understand expectations, appointment guidelines, and the measures taken to ensure a safe, compliant, an accessible space.
BOOKING POLICY
Any online bookings are considered a request until approved by Blackwood Beauty NWA, LLC. Once confirmed, you will receive an email (and a text if you opt in) to let you know your appointment has been scheduled. We do not require payment up-front or a deposit, but we do require a card on file when booking to protect us from no-shows and late cancellations.
Please ensure you do the following things prior to arriving for your appointment:

APPOINTMENT POLICY
Arrival Time
Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow adequate time to find parking and get checked in.
Late Arrival
If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service(s). If your appointment is shortened due to your late arrival, you may still be charged the full cost of the service(s).
Illness or Family Emergencies
If you or another person in your household has an infectious or contagious illness, or has had a fever within 24-hours of your scheduled appointment time, please contact us by phone call, text, chat, or email as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment for a later date. For the sake of your safety, our neighbors, ourselves, and our clients, there is no penalty for rescheduling outside of the policy window in this case
CANCELLATION, LATE-RESCHEDULE, & NO SHOW POLICY
Stand-alone Service Appointments
Blackwood Beauty NWA, LLC (the Company) requires 24-hours notice for rescheduling and cancellations. If you are unable to provide notice of your cancellation within 24 hours of your scheduled arrival time, you will be subject – at the owner’s discretion – to paying 50% of the scheduled service costs which will be charged to the card on file. Late rescheduling is subject to paying upfront for the rescheduled appointment time per the owner's discretion. If the rescheduled appointment is cancelled, it will automatically be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service costs to the card on file.
No-show clients are given two (2) days (or 48 hours) following their missed appointment to contact the Company before being charged a non-refundable fee at the rate of 50% of the missed service(s) scheduled. We understand that life happens and situations arise beyond our control. We only ask that you contact us so we can discuss next steps.

Service Packages
Services booked as a part of a package are subject to a modified cancellation policy – varied from the policy for stand-alone services. For package services (herein titled, the “Session”) that have been scheduled on the Blackwood Beauty booking calendar and confirmed by the provider, clients must provide at least 24-hours advance notice to cancel or reschedule their appointment. Cancellations made less than 24-hours prior to the scheduled appointment, as well as missed appointments (i.e., “no-shows”), will result in the forfeiture of that Session. The forfeited Session will be deducted from the package and cannot be rescheduled, reinstated, credited, or refunded. All packages expire within 12-months of the original purchase date. Any unused services or Sessions remaining after the expiration date will be forfeited and are not eligible for credit, reinstatement, or refund

PAYMENT POLICY
At this time, Blackwood Beauty can only accept cards and exact cash only.
Payment will be made to the Blackwood Beauty NWA, LLC. (the Company) an approved payment card, exact cash, or by any other payment method determined and approved by the company. Full payment is expected directly following the end of each service for appointment-based purchases and pickup and/or in-studio product purchases. The client pays all applicable state and local taxes and processing fees for product purchases, but no sales tax is charged to services.
As of April 2026, clients are not charged a processing fee for service purchases. We maintain the right to adjust this policy, with proper notification to current Blackwood Beauty clientele, at any time
RETURN & REFUND POLICIES
Rendered Service Refunds
All sales are final on services rendered and no refunds will be dispersed.
If you are not satisfied with your service or if you are experiencing an adverse reaction to the products or methods used during your service, please contact info@blackwoodbeautynwa.com within 48-hours of your appointment and/or purchase so that the situation may be properly addressed and corrected. It is our policy to provide you with the best professional service, customized exclusively for your skin type, concerns, and condition(s).
Product Returns and Refunds
Product returns are processed on a case-by-case basis. If you are not satisfied with your products, please contact us at info@blackwoodbeautynwa.com within 48-hours of your purchase/pickup so that the situation may be properly addressed and corrected. It is our policy to provide you with safe and efficacious products.
Should you wish to start a return, products must have been purchased directly from Blackwood Beauty NWA, LLC (the Company). All items must be unused, unexpired, and in original unaltered packaging (ex. no price tags, stickers or markings, that would restrict us from being able to restock the item.) Returns exceeding 30 days after purchase date up to one year will incur a 25% restocking fee. Items purchased greater than 1 year ago are no longer eligible for return/credit. Proof of purchase from the Company must be provided. All items returned must have a minimum of 6 months expiration period remaining.
Package Returns and Refunds
All package purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Once a package has been purchased, it is not eligible for return, refund, or exchange under any circumstances. Packages must be used within 12-months of the original purchase date and any unused services remaining after the expiration date will be forfeited and not eligible for refund, exchange, or credit. Services booked within the package (i.e., scheduled and confirmed on the calendar) must cancel within 24-hours of the scheduled appointment time. The penalty for late cancellation or missed appointment (i.e., “no-show”) is forfeiture of the session. Forfeited sessions will be deducted from the package and cannot be rescheduled, reinstated, or refunded.
LICENSING POLICY
Blackwood Beauty NWA, LLC (the “Company”) and Sierra Mitchell (the “Practitioner”) affirm and agree to maintain all licenses required and hold insurance policies necessary to perform esthetic services and conduct business. The Company and Practitioner further represent that such licenses and policies shall remain current, valid, and in good standing at all times of conducting business and/or performing services.

In addition, the Practitioner agrees to obtain and maintain the appropriate education, hands-on training, and certifications necessary to safely and competently perform any advanced treatment modalities offered. No advanced service shall be performed without first completing recognized training that ensures proficiency in technique, client safety, contraindications, and proper use of professional-grade products or devices.

The Practitioner expressly agrees to practice strictly within the scope of esthetics as defined by the Arkansas State Board of Cosmetology, and to fully comply with all applicable Arkansas state laws, rules, and regulations governing esthetic practices. This includes, but is not limited to, the understanding that esthetic services are limited to non-invasive, superficial cosmetic treatments and do not include the practice of medicine.

The Practitioner shall not perform any service that exceeds the legally defined scope of practice, including but not limited to procedures that penetrate beyond the epidermis, involve injections, constitute medical diagnosis or treatment, or otherwise require medical licensure or supervision under Arkansas law.

All services performed shall be conducted in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, with a continued commitment to client safety, ethical standards, and professional integrity.
